I am a member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association and the European Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and adhere to a strict code of ethics and guidelines enforced by the A.F.P.A. I studied at the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland in Dublin under the guidance of Professor Jin Hui De, Dr Jidong Wu, Dr Meng Fanyi, and Ms. Therese Parsons M Sc. Lic Ac. Dip Herb. I undertook my postgraduate studies at the Nanjing University World Health Organisation Collaborative (WHO) Centre in China and while there I worked under the guidance of various eminent doctors of Chinese medicine in the Nanjing 3rd affiliated hospital of TCM. I continue to study as part of a continued professional development plan to improve my skills and knowledge for the benefit of my clinical practice. I initially became interested in acupuncture due to a back injury I had some years back and having tried many different therapies to help with recovery, I found acupuncture was the only one that worked for me. Being a martial artist and someone who loves to run, it was a blessing to finally be able to continue training. Living where I do at the foot of the Dublin mountains offers great opportunities for my wife, children and I to bring our dog for long walks through the mountain woodlands and get back in touch with the natural balance of nature, I think it is important to take time to be aware of the beauty and oneness of nature of which we are all apart of and unfortunately due to our busy lifestyles we can sometimes forget. Acupuncture as a therapy can help us to relax and by treating each person as a whole helps us to re-balance our physical, emotional and spiritual selves just as nature intended for us.
